Here is a really imporatnt tip that will help you save money when shopping.

I was recently at a store, and I was looking for a decoration to review. I found it at Pier One.

I was doing a review on how to save money on decorating and I was talking about how you should shop the sales.

Common sense right?

Well here is the kicker.

Not only should you shop the sales, but when you find something you like, and you see that the similar models are on sale, check with the sales person to see if the one you want is also on sale.

You see, there are so many different kinds of items in a store, sales associates often make mistakes.

It happened that the item I needed, a rug, which was still regular priced, was actually on sale for $30 less.

Had I not asked I would not have gotten the discount.

So, lesson here if you want to learn the best ways to save money…Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want!

Fashion is a fun thing. and when you save money and look good, that is even better.

Take a look at one of these deals I got recently.

One thing I’ve noticed is the best time to shop is actually a tuesday or a wednesday.

The reason being that the new inventory comes in on those days, so you aslo get good mark down deals before the weekend shoppers.

I grabbed a $100 pair of Calvin Klein dress slacks and they were marked down to $30.

Not bad huh…

Now, these were from a outlet store. So, Im going to see if they hold up as well. Sometimes I have heard that outlet brand names are not as good as the coutoure lines. We’ll see.

I know that there are alot of you out there that like to design and have good decoration in your home. One of those things that adds alots of value to a place and can really dress things up is a fish tank or aquariaum.

The question is how to save money on an aquarium and have one that looks great…

Well, here is an easy trick.

Go to a discount store. I like Ross.

Pick out a nice vase. I was able to get one for $20 bucks. It was a large cylinder glass vase that holds about 5 gallons.

Go home. Fill it with water, and put some rocks in the bottm.

Go to the pet store and get a air pump, about $10.

Then get some feeder fish. These are the ones that you use to feed big aggresive fish.

They usually cost about .25 each, and are usually comets.

I got 6 from Walmart.

Set up the air pump, throw in a plant or two, and add in the fish.

Tada! Simple as that!

If your fish die, that totally sucks, but the thing is, they were cheap. and if the water gets green from algae, just change it out.

BTW- comets tend to be rather hardy, so they are a good fish to start with!
